Students exhibit their art across the city!

Wed 15 Feb 2012

Art & design students have been working hard on preparing for a number of art exhibitions, to showcase the fantastic work produced by students at Wilberforce to the people of Hull.

A group of A2 Photography students (Georgia Carmichael, Hannah Cressey, Charlotte Eastwood, Rachel Greib, Hannah Rippin, Jodie Roberts and Leona Thompson) are exhibiting their photography work at the Vintage Cafe on Chanterlands Avenue until Wednesday 22nd February. All the exhibited pieces are for sale to members of the public, and some of the fantastic images have already sold, much to the delight of those involved.

In addition to work on display in the Vintage Cafe, a number of students have had work accepted into the Ferens Open Exhibition, a citywide exhibition taking place at Ferens Art Gallery in Hull. Pieces submitted by photography students Dan Ainsworth, Jake Kemp, Holly Dunn and Textile student Louise Mumby were selected from hundreds of entries from artists across Hull and the East Riding, and will be on display in the gallery from Feb 11th until 15th April. The exhibition is a wonderful showcase of the artistic talent, not just from Wilberforce, but across Hull and is definitely worth a visit.
