English Literature (AS/A-Level)

On this course you learn to analyse literary texts in different ways. This includes study of novels, plays and poetry. You`ll do coursework on Shakespeare looking at the context it was written in. You also study a pre-1900 novel and a 20th century poetry text. In A2 you get to read and analyse more! Coursework involves comparing two texts and you also look at pre-1900 poetry and a pre-1770 drama text. English Literature is analytical and provides very useful communication skills.
