Geography (AS/A-Level)

This course covers both human and physical geography. The topics studied in the first year are river and flood management, coastal environments, global population change, and health issues. In the second year we look at current geographical issues. You will consider the values and attitudes of key decision makers, as well as considering your own attitudes about the issues being studied. You will also develop your graphical, cartographical and statistical and research skills. Fieldtrips are an important part of the course, which really helps with class work. Geography combines very well with virtually any other A Level and can lead to a wide range of careers.
