INTERCEPT - Netball (Subject to trial)

You will undertake a minimum of 17 hours per week studying for your academic qualifications balanced against an average of 5 hours per week devoted to netball tuition. Educational progression is given as much importance as sporting achievement. This will involve 2 hours weekly skills, tactical and fi tness training and also match play on Wednesday afternoons in the British Colleges Sports Association League and National Colleges U19 competitions. You will have the opportunity to develop your umpiring and coaching skills and gain governing body coaching qualifi cations. The course also looks to further the development of netball within our local community. We have strong links with local Primary and Secondary schools and it is expected that you will be enthusiastic in carrying out some voluntary work under the guidance of your teacher. You are also advised to enrol on the very successful Community Sports Leaders` Award offered by the College.
