What kind of information can I see on Homelink?

You will be able to view up-to-the-minute information about attendance, assessment and target grades, exams timetables and more.

How can I connect to Homelink?

You should have received your log-in details via email or in person at one of our consultation evenings. If you have not received details, we may not have your email address on file. Please call us on 01482 711688 to give us your details.

Will Homelink work on all browsers?

Homelink is designed primarily to be compatible with Internet Explorer on PCs, and Safari on iMacs. It does work to an extent when other browsers are used (such as Chrome and Firefox), but you may encounter some formatting issues that don’t allow you to see the information fully.

Will Homelink work on my iPad/tablet?

Homelink will load and display information when used on all android and Apple tablets, but many users have found issues with the formatting. For example, when the screen is rotated, the information onscreen doesn’t always rotate with it, and thus isn’t fully displayed.

What do the assessment grades mean?

When you are registered and logged into Homelink, click on the tab ‘Assessments and Exams’ and then the sub-heading ‘Assessment Guide’. This will give you an overview of the grades available for each course.

I can’t see any scheduled examinations, does this mean the student will not have any?

This is not the case. BTEC, City and Guild and Functional Skills exams are scheduled throughout the year and will appear on the ‘Exams’ display around one month before they are due to take place. Summer exams (primarily A Level and GCSE) start on the 30th April 2016 and will continue until the end of term. These will appear shortly before the Easter break.
